The Hitachi ABB Power Grids Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 900 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi ABB Power Grid’s units in more than 25 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 60 countries.

Your Responsibilities

• Responsible for the SCADA and HMI design of HVDC station.
• Designing, documentation, testing and commissioning of the control and protection systems.
• Supporting the projects across globe during commissioning.
• Database Management/SQL.
• Backup/ Image handling on servers and workstations and patch management.

Your background

• A Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 2-6 Years of relevant experience in substation automation.
• Knowledge on Gateway Server with MicroSCADA.
• Experience IT-Infrasctrucure with knowledge on routers, firewalls, Switches, Servers and workstations.
• Exposure to Cyber Security.
• Exposure to HMI with Intouch application development.
• Exposure in AC Control & Protection schemes.
• Exposure / Basic Knowledge in International electrical (IEEE/IEC) Standards.
• Basic Knowledge on C/C++ is an added advantage.
• Experience in HVDC projects will be an added advantage.
