Job Description

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post of “Project JRF” in a MHRD funded research project ‘Flood risk assessment in tropical rivers in the Anthropocence under climate change scenario using hydro-geometric modeling.

Name and number of the Post: Junior Research Fellow; 01 (One)

Profile of qualifications:Essential: Master's (M.Sc./Tech/MS) /M.Tech degree in Geology /Civil Engineering/Hydraulics and Water Resources Engineering/ Geoinformatics/Remote Sensing and GIS/ Computer Science Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute with a minimum of 60% in aggregate or CGPA/CPI of 7.0 and above on a 10 point scale.

In addition to minimum qualification, for all candidates, a National level examination, National Eligibility Test (NET)/CSIR-JRF/UGC-JRF/INSPIRE-Ph.D./GATE/ or any other fellowship is mandatory.

Desirable: Working knowledge in water resources/ hydrology/GIS.

Experience in working with ArcGIS, Python, Hydrological modeling and image processing.

Salary: Rs. 31,000 + HRA (as applicable)
