Indian Statistical Institute (ISI),Kolkata is inviting applications for the recruitment of four (04) Project linked persons under one position in Category ‘A’, one position in Category ‘B’ and two positions in Category ‘C’ purely on temporary basis to work in the following projects titled “Automatic Handwriting Answer-script Evaluation”, “Air Writing Recognition” and “Remote Intelligent Baby Monitoring” in the Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition Unit of the Institute, Kolkata.

2. Qualifications (for all Categories) :

A. Essential: (i) B.E./ B.Tech. in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Electronics or equivalent or M.C.A. or M.Sc. in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Electronics or equivalent for all the projects, (ii) Strong programming skills in Python/ C/ C++/ JAVA for all the projects.

B. Desirable: Work Experience or publications (published/ communicated) in the domain of Medical Image Processing/ Document Image Analysis/ Pattern Recognition/ Computer Vision/ Machine learning area for all the projects.

3. Pay (for all Categories) : 25000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only) to 35000/- (Rupees thirty five thousand only) per month (Consolidated pay with no other allowances) depending upon qualifications and previous work experience.

4. Tenure of appointment (for all Categories) : The duration of the appointment of the project is initially till 31 March 2022 from the date of his/her joining the institute which may be extended later/terminated earlier depending on availability of funds and performance of the candidates.

Age Limit:

Should not exceed 35 years as on 01 July 2021 with relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Women/differently abled candidates. Age relaxation may be given to the outstanding candidates or candidates with relevant experience.
