Job Description

Scrum Master Description: UST Global® is looking for a talented and creative Scrum Master for one of the leading healthcare providers in the United States. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a growing environment. The ideal candidate must have strong skills in Pega development and Testing at the same time be able to put their creative hat in a problem-solving environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with domain experts and IT leadership team is key to be successful in this role. Responsibilities: As a Scrum Master you will be responsible for: -

Responsible for creating and onboarding project teams, integrating them into the organization and providing a clear vision of the product.

Facilitates communication and information exchange between external groups and the project team.

Monitor project progress, provide timely feedback, and drive a culture of agility and learning 

Hosts daily team meetings to get updates on the progress of the project, potential roadblocks, and ensure that the project is on track.

Host regular sessions to share updates with product stakeholders about how the project is progressing (or not).

To improve efficiency, Scrum Masters encourage the use of continuous integration (CI) and automation.

Support product owner in effective management of product backlog, communicate product owner’s requirement with the project team and organize scrum ceremonies.

Support the organization in scrum adoption and implementation, help coach the team in agile practices. Implement changes and steps to improve team efficiency and productivity.

Responsible for managing the scrum process with the coordination of scrum team in Agile methodology.

Responsible to Conduct retrospective meetings.

Organizes and facilitates the sprint planning meeting.

Acts as safeguard for his team.

Have knowledge of widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, BDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing.

Ensure Optimum Code quality by thorough code review process

Coordinate with the Testing team and ensure the application is defect free, before the code move to production.

Mentor the team to ensure the delivery is smooth with zero escalations

Coordination with other teams for application integration

Coordinate for the smooth system integration testing and user acceptance testing. Must have skills:

Exposure to running scrum teams involving multiple vendors

Strong communication skills

Experience interacting with customer

Experience in Scrum Master role for at least 2 years for a software development team that was diligently applying scrum principles, practices and theory.

Thorough understanding of enterprise software development processes and lifecycle; ability to adjust and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment using Agile development.

Knowledge and experience with successful Agile ceremonies like Grooming, Sprint Planning , Daily Stand up, Sprint Demo and Retrospective.

Good understanding on any one Agile Project management tools - JIRA , VSTS, Version One or Rally

Ability to work under tight deadlines and responding to changing business scenarios.

Should be able to establish good connect and rapport with the client IT team and stakeholders.

Good skills and knowledge of facilitation, conflict resolution, continual improvement and increasing transparency.

Should have strong analytical and listening skills

Should be flexible in work timings to enable work in a team with multiple geographies.

Demonstrate a solid understanding of Agile Estimation and be able to guide a team through a relative story pointing exercise

Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization

Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments

Building a trusting and safe environment where issues be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving.

Knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.

He should have knowledge about Agile techniques like: User Stories, Continuous Integration, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.

Ability to take and understand his commitment to deliver the product on time.

Good understanding on the value of metrics and incremental delivery. Good to have skills:

Health care experience is highly desired.

Exposure to Pega technology is desired.

Scrum Master certification (CSM , SAFe , PMP, ACP)

Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP (Extreme Programming),Kanban, FDD (Feature-Driven Development) etc.

Exposure in working with multi geography, multi-vendor is an added advantage. Location:

Any single offshore location (All to be co-located). Order of preference – Chennai, Trivandrum, Kochi, Hyderabad, Bangalore.
