IIT Madras jobs - Project Officer

Applications are invited for the following temporary post of Project Officer  Global Research Activities at the office of Global Engagement, IIT Madras.

Duration: One year, extendable based on the performance.

Number of Positions: 01

Educational Qualification: A Master’s Degree in Education, Business Development, International Development, Business Administration, Communication, Science, or related fields. A bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Sciences may be an advantage.

Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience is required. Experience in an international higher educational organization or a similar environment is desirable. Fluent in English with excellent communication skills are compulsory.

Pay Scale: Rs. 30,000/- pm to Rs. 50,000/- pm

Essential Duties:  Research & Coordination  Coordinating adequate information dissemination pre and post-international delegation visits as well as faculty/ student visits to partner universities.Identifying/ researching for organizations/ universities for partnership & funding . Identifying academicians or resources of international repute  Ensuring that processes are followed, and activities are completed in a timely manner.  Analyzing information and making presentations.

Desirability:  The candidate must have excellent English language communication skills, both written and verbal.  Strong time management, analytical and organization skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.  They must also be proficient in Microsoft suite. The candidate should also have strong interpersonal skills. They should be passionate, creative and a self-starter able to work with little to no supervision. Able to travel occasionally.  Knowledge of foreign languages is a plus.
