Project Trainee / Project Engineer job recruitment in Indian Institute of Astrophysics

Project Trainee (Software)

Qualification : B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent with at least 60% marks in the aggregate from a recognized University/Institution

Desirable: Candidate should be proficient in Open Source development plotform, experience in tools such as Slack, Jira, Jenkins, JVM-based languages – Java and Scala, C/C++ and JPython.

Remuneration : Rs. 20,000/- per month (Consolidated)

Age Limit : 26 years

Project Trainee (Mechanical)

No. of Posts : 02

Qualification : A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering from a University/Institution recognized by the UGC/AICTE with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade.

Desirable : Basic knowledge and some experience in the following:- a) Manufacturing processes b) Mechanical drawings c) Measuring tools like Vernier, Caliper, Micrometer, etc. d) Microsoft Office and CAD tools like Solid works

Remuneration : Rs. 20,000/- per month (Consolidated)

Age Limit : 26 years

Project Engineer-I (Electronics)

Qualification : B.E/B.Tech in Electronics/Instrumentation or equivalent with at least 60% marks in the aggregate from a recognized University/Institution.

Experience : Minimum two years experience after graduation, of working in an industry/public sector/government establishments in design and development activities of electronic, test equipments, etc.

Remuneration : Rs. 50,000/- per month (Consolidated)

Age Limit : 32 years

Project Engineer-II (Electronics/Instrumentation)

No. of Post : 01

Qualification : B.E/B.Tech in Electronics/Instrumentation or equivalent with at least 60% marks in the aggregate from a recognized University/Institution. Candidates with higher qualification in relevant field and experience will also be considered.

Experience: Minimum five years experience after graduation. Should have worked in an industry/public sector/government establishments in design and development activities of electronics, instrumentation, control systems, electromechanical systems, etc.

Desirable : Preference will be given to candidates worked with electromechanical system design, analysis, and implementation. Exposure to tools such as Solidworks, Labview, Matlab, etc., is desirable. A broad multi-disciplinary engineering background is also desirable.

Remuneration : Rs. 60,000/- per month (Consolidated)

Age Limit : 35 years

The Indian Institute of Astrophysics is a premier institute devoted to research in astronomy, astrophysics and related physics. It traces its origins back to an observatory set up in 1786 at Madras which from the year 1792 began to formally function at its Nungambakkam premises as the Madras Observatory. In 1899, the observatory moved to Kodaikanal. In the year 1971, the Kodaikanal Observatory became an autonomous society, the Indian Institute of Astrophysics.
