Job Summary

NetApp has a challenging and exciting opportunity for you to join a team of elite technologists. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of Consultants and Engineers on the successful execution and delivery of assigned projects. As a Project Manager, you will define, plan, track and manage projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales and Engineering, as well as directly with customers, to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Essential Functions

• Ability to manage all aspects of projects including planning, estimating, execution and implementation
• Identify, utilize and manage key resources required to meet project objectives
• Responsible for Project Team Meetings
• Responsible for resources, metrics and project status updates
• Responsible for project setup and project team’s time entry in appropriate tools
• Responsible for project team utilization
• Responsible for SOW review and ensuring it’s in compliance with our portfolio offering
• Responsible for managing to agreed-upon deliverables with SOW
• Responsible for weekly updates/meetings with leadership team
• Provide guidance and/or supervision to project team members
  

Interaction

• This individual must work effectively with Staff to Vice President level employees within the function, and the technical team on assigned projects. There may be communication with employees in other functions as required
• Limited management direction is provided to employee on new projects or assignments as well as the reviewing of activities and priorities
• The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert on team projects
• To be successful, this individual must demonstrate favorable results through coaching and influencing others
  

Job Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communications skills are essential
• Ability to work collaboratively with, lead and motivate other employees in a team environment to meet aggressive goals and pre-defined timelines.
• Ability to work cross-functional within an organization managing multiple complex projects
• Demonstrated ability to manage relationships and project teams
• Experience with customer facing projects
• PMP Certification must
• ITIL Certification preferred
• Data storage or systems management experience is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, moderately complex technical projects
  

Education & Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of related experience is required
• A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience is required
• Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, moderately complex technical tasks
