Psychiatrist/ Librarian/ Registrar job recruitment in West Bengal PSC

Psychiatrist

No. of Vacancy : 01

Qualification : (i) Medical qualifications included in the First Schedule, or the Second Schedule, or Part-II of the Third Schedule, to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, and registration as Medical Practitioner in West Bengal. (ii) Post-Graduate Degree or Diploma in Psychiatry recognized by Medical Council of India.

Pay : Rs.15,600/- – Rs.42, 000/- (P.B. – 4A) plus Grade Pay Rs.5,400/-.

Age Limit : Not less than 21 years and not more than 36 years as on 01.01.2019.

Librarian

No. of Vacancies : 03

Qualification : (i) A good academic record with at least a high second class (B+) or 55% marks in Master Degree in Library Science or equivalent plus a second class Master Degree in a subject other than Library Science from a recognized University.

Desirable : (i) Good power of expression in Bengali- spoken and written. (ii) Knowledge in any Indian Language, other than the mother tongue and English. (iii) Experience in the post of Librarian in any recognized Institution

Pay : Rs.15,600/- – Rs.39,100/- plus Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 6,000/- [ Librarian possessing Ph.D. at entry level after completing service of 4 years in AGP Rs. 6,000/- shall be eligible for higher AGP of Rs. 7,000/- and M. Phil. in L.S. but not Ph.D. shall be eligible for higher AGP of Rs. 7,000/- if completing service of 5 years in AGP Rs. 6,000/-]

Age Limit : Not more than 36 years as on 01.01.2019, relaxable for otherwise well qualified and experienced candidates and for persons holding substantive appointment in a post under the Education Department, Govt. of West Bengal.

Registrar

No. of Vacancies : 03

Qualification : (i) A degree of a recognized University. (ii) 5 (five) years’ experience in office administration in a responsible post in a Govt. office or in an organization of repute, preferably in an educational institution. (iii) Adequate knowledge of Govt. accounts. (iv) Knowledge of Bengali- spoken and written.

Desirable : Experience in conducting examination.

Pay : Rs.15, 600/- – Rs.42, 000/- plus Grade Pay of Rs. 5,400/-

Age Limit : Not more than 40 years as on 01.01.2019, relaxable for specially qualified and experienced candidates and for persons holding substantive appointment under the Education Department, Govt. of W.B.

Fee : Rs. 210/- (Rupees two hundred ten) only. In addition to that, the candidate will be charged as follows: (i) For online payment through debit/credit cards: Convenience fee 1% of the examination fee subject to a minimum of Rs. 5/- (Rupees Five) only plus 18% G.S.T. on convenience fee. (ii) For online payment through net banking: Convenience fee of Rs. 5/- (Rupees Five) only plus 18% G.S.T. on convenience fee. (iii) For offline payment through bank counter: Service Charge of Rs. 20/- (Rupees Twenty) only.

Selection Process : Selection process will comprise written test and personal interview. Details of written test will be intimated in admit card of due course. Candidates who got qualified in written test , will only selected for appear in personal interview.

The origin and evolution of Public Service Commission in India can be traced back to the democratic demands raised by the Indians and consequence thereof. As far back as 1856 educated Indians raised the demand for admission into the Indian Civil Service, and the Indian National Congress adopted a resolution on its foundation in 1885 demanding holding of simultaneous examination for the I.C.S. both in England and in India. Such demands were supplementary to the demands raised in the Indian National Movement for self-government.
