Job Description:
We are seeking passionate and empathetic Psychology Intern - Listener to join our team as Listeners for our online therapy platform, similar to Blah Therapy. As a Psychology Intern - Listener, you will provide support and guidance to individuals seeking a safe space to express their thoughts, feelings, and concerns anonymously. This role offers a unique opportunity for psychology students to gain practical experience in active listening, empathy, and counseling techniques while making a positive impact on others' lives.
Responsibilities:
Engage with users on our platform in a non-judgmental and empathetic manner.Actively listen to users' concerns, providing emotional support and validation.Foster a supportive and confidential environment for users to express themselves openly.Utilize active listening techniques to understand users' emotions and help them explore their thoughts and feelings.Offer empathy, compassion, and encouragement to users during their sessions.Maintain professionalism and adhere to ethical guidelines throughout interactions with users.Provide appropriate resources and referrals to users in crisis or in need of additional support.Complete session notes and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements:
