West Bengal State Health and Family Welfare Samiti (WB Health) invites application for the position Public Health Manager

Number of Vacancies: 67 (SC-22, ST-8, OBC-A-10, OBC-B-4, UR-19, PWD-4)

Remuneration: 35,000 per month. (Increment as per NHM guidelines)

Place of Posting: Any Municipality/Municipal Corporation in West Bengal

Essential Qualification:

a) Graduation in Dental/Nursing OR Master degree in Life Science (Life Science includes Botany, Zoology, Human Physiology, Micro- Biology, Biochemistry, Bio-Technology, Bioinformatics)/ Master Degree in Economics OR Graduation in Social Science with Masters in Public Health/ Community Health/ Preventive & Social Medicine OR Graduation in any discipline with MBA in Human Resource/ Health Care.

b) The candidates must have efficiency in computers including MS office and internet.

Essential Experience: 2 years post qualification experience in the field of health programme management in disease surveillance/ community mobilization/ inter Sectoral collaboration/ IEC- BCC Activities/ Quality Control/ Monitoring and Evaluation.

Age Limit: Age (as on 01.01.2021) Maximum 40 years

The Health & Family Welfare Department of the State Government has been vested with the responsibility of maintaining and developing the health care system in West Bengal. Public health, sanitation and hospitals are the exclusive responsibilities of the State. State provides financial and managerial support for the basic health care support and infrastructural facilities at the rural level, while the State level super specialty Medical Colleges & Hospitals predominantly provides the ambulatory care services.
