Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Design, plan and implement sourcing and purchasing strategies
2. Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers and internal departments
3. Ensure clear requirements are documentation before the purchase process is initiated
4. Research and find relevant products based on purchase requirements
5. Search for online vendors to find product availability and price
6. Call local vendors to check availability and price
7. Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
8. Maintain the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation
9. Negotiate lower pricing
10. Make detailed price and feature comparison table on Coda or other software applications
11. Manage the entire process of sourcing, tracking, delivery, payment, and dispute resolution
12. Coordinate with customer care during the entire return/refund/replacement process
13. Advice on suitable substitutes for dated, discontinued, or unavailable products
14. Work to improve purchasing systems and processes
