Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Ensure construction site safety
2. Keep a safe environment for workers during all stages of a project
3. Deliver a project on time and within its budget
4. Ensure timely procurement of materials and maintain their files
5. Coordinate with site staff for material
6. Manage smooth functioning of site by materials management
7. Ensure supplier compliance with site and company requirements for safety
8. Negotiate with vendors for best rate/credit days
9. Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment's
10. Build & develop a relationship with key suppliers & customer
11. Discuss defective or unacceptable new goods with users & take preventive action
12. Follow the approval process for materials quantity & specification if not given
13. Negotiate with subcontractors and laborers
14. Arrange for disposal of surplus materials
15. Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs
