Smart Machines and Structures jobs - Python/Apache Spark Developer

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing software for a predictive maintenance application using Apache Spark and Python. He/she will be working with a Project Lead who has domain expertise in predictive maintenance and machine learning (ML) algorithms. The team would also consist of a business analyst whose job is to liason with the client to capture the requirements and provide the team with the necessary data to develop ML algorithms. The most important attributes are positive attitude, diligence and willingness to learn. Travel and stay at Goa would be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop a predictive maintenance application using Apache Spark and Python
• Work with a business analyst to capture the requirements of the client.
• Understand the data captured using various sources and format them to be usable for ML algorithms
• Design database/data storage format to store all the data to be used for predictive maintenance algorithms.
• Develop GUI with Charts/Graphs to visualize the data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field. If you have these skills and don't have a degree that is fine too.
• Development experience with Apache Spark and Python, 2-4 years. Required.
• Fundamental understanding of ML algorithms is a big plus especially the mathematics behind the algorithms.
