Responsibilities

• Review product design documentation to ensure that requirements stated are correct, unambiguous, and verifiable.
  
• Consult with product development to evaluate system interfaces, operational requirements, and performance requirements of overall system.
• Utilizes software and hardware tools, identifies, and diagnoses complex problems and factors affecting network performance.
• Performs a variety of systems engineering tasks and activities that are broad in nature and are concerned with major systems design, integration, and implementation, including personnel, hardware, software.
• Define test methods and create test plans for new or updated software projects to determine if the network will perform accurately and reliably according to documented requirements as well as established standards under both normal and abnormal conditions.
  
• Recommend design improvements or corrections to engineers throughout the development process.
• Execute test plans and create test reports to describe program evaluation, testing, and correction.
• Monitor program performance after implementation to prevent reoccurrence of program operating problems and ensure efficiency of operation.
  
• Conduct compatibility tests with vendor-provided programs.
  
• Create test tools that facilitate data gathering and test method execution.
  
• Participate in risk management meetings.
  

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent technical Degree; or equivalent combination of education.
  
• 3- 5 years of experience in the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of Networks.
  

• Experience configuring LANs
  
• Experience examining packets using Wireshark, tshark, or tcpdump
  
• Experience deploying and configuring virtual machines
  
• Experience installing and configuring switches and routers
  
• Experience troubleshooting and correcting misconfigured Ethernet networks
  
• Experience performing Linux system administration (an ideal candidate will run their own Linux systems for fun and self-education.)
  
• Should know any / or all the below tools. This will be an added advantage.
