DemandTec (by Acoustic) solutions make it possible for retailers to blend the art of experience, taste and judgment with optimization science and advanced analytics. By combining these approaches, retailers can more intelligently determine the most desirable and profitable products, prices, promotions and markdowns.

The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with the DemandTec team to review requirements, analyze solution, design/develop features while ensuring highest quality. Also, investigate and evaluate new technologies as/where needed, to improve application design and performance; also able to help the team adapt it within our solution and grow the skillset.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing feature requirements, drafting test cases/plans to assure Functionality, reliability and usability of feature rich responsive web applications.
• Understand product needs for Performance, globalization & accessibility to develop appropriate test plans.
• Automate regression test cases using Selenium web driver or equivalent frameworks.
• Automate scheduled execution of tests using Jenkins and building CI/CD pipelines
• Perform REST API testing using tools such as Postman, JMeter or equivalent
• Record test status in test tracking tools such as XRay, usage of defect tracking tools such as JIRA to report issues.
• Investigate customer reported issues and provide guidance to support teams on issues not requiring code fix.
• Collaborate effectively with stake holders from different time zones to ensure functional requirements are thoroughly understood while devising test plans.
• Develop clear understanding of product customizations, configurations to be able to participate in design reviews and provide feedback pro-actively. 
  
  

Qualifications

• 3+ years of extensive experience in analyzing functional requirements and developing test plans for UI rich web applications.
• 3+ years of experience in automating test plans, scheduling of automated tests, building CI/CD pipelines
• Hands on experience on – Selenium web driver, JMeter, Jenkins
• Experience with REST API testing
• Experience in performance testing web applications, API using JMeter or Load runner
• Experience in testing complex reports developed using SSRS
• Experience and knowledge of trouble shooting SSIS jobs
• Knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as IIS, Visual Studio, SQL Server is a plus
• Ability to think laterally and contribute to problem solving
• Well-developed analytical and investigative skills a must have
• Experience of deploying, monitoring & trouble shooting web applications on Cloud
• Should have good understanding in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
• Good understanding creating CI/CD pipelines and exposure to agile development methodologies 
  
  

Education

• Minimum of a bachelor’s in Computer Science, or any four-year degree with relevant experience.
