Job Description:

We are looking for a talented Quality Assurance Tester with 3-6 years of experience to test user experiences on ecommerce website. The Ideal candidate should have eye for detecting errors/issues/glitches in website and must be able to demonstrate critical thinking for preparation and skilled execution of test cases. Candidate can also offer advice on testing practices that would support our development. Additionally must be able to work in a fast pace, team oriented environment.

Expected Competencies:

Should have experience in following:

·         Worked as QA tester for Ecommerce shopping website

·         Participated in technical reviews of existing and under testing solutions

·         Conducted QA checks on ecommerce website on regular basis

·         Created Test Plans, Test scripts, Test cases.

·         Driven test stages through the entire project lifecycle, ensured that the solutions meet the agreed quality objectives

·         Documented test results as per norms

Should have knowledge of following:

·         Automated testing & related tools

·         Regression, load and performance testing

·         Ecommerce shopping website fundamentals

·         Agile methodologies and scrum

·         SDLC

·         JIRA or similar tool for bug tracking

Nice to have knowledge of:

·         Shopify ecommerce stores

·         Testing on WordPress, PHP sites

·         Testing API, web services

·         UI/UX design concepts

·         Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

·         Google Analytics

Duties:

The QA Specialist will work closely with project coordinator, developers, BA & Architect in the following key areas:

•    Review online WordPress and Shopify website on an ongoing basis to identify any bugs/issues

•    Will perform testing on cross browser & cross platforms, assist user in testing (if required)

•    Collaborate with developers to determine effective strategies and test plans

•    Consistently execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results in a timely matter

•    Generate logs to document testing phases and defects

•    Effectively report bugs and errors to development team

•    Help with troubleshooting issues

•    Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing

•    Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)

•    Recommend and implement testing tools and testing methods.

•    Will work with local as well as Canada based team for project execution

•    Provide trainings to other team members for leveraging them for testing

•    Will be working on multiple request at a time, should manage workload effectively

•    Willing to work in shifts to match Canadian time zone, and in case of urgencies provide support during off working hours
