a)     Job responsibility:

Responsible to work for both Quality and Production function with multi-tasking activities related to problem solving, efficiency improvement projects and TPM pillars’ activities. Needs to perform as a shift reliever for both Quality & Production function when the concerned shift leaders are on planned leave.

In Production function and as a shift reliever in production function, he / she must take the responsibility of management & supervision of plant operation in a shift to meet production schedules, production output, man management, plant & process safety, product quality, product yield, productivity and day to day trouble shooting of the plant in a shift. Participates in product cost improvement; quality and yields improvement, projects and other production activities related to plant efficiency improvement, supports TPM activities and maintains safe working conditions and employee relations.

In Quality function and as a shift reliever in quality function, he/she must take the responsibility of quality management and testing of all raw materials and finished goods as per standard procedure to ensure that raw materials and finished goods comply in line with the corporate quality specification. Ensure ISO standards and necessary documentation are in place, lead to analyse customer complaint, other quality complaint, product defects etc. with RCA and necessary closure with corrective and preventive actions, maintenance of measuring and testing of equipment, issuing the test reports / COA and maintain the COA database and other QC documents as per requirement of QMS. Active participation in the lab scale study of new product development and new / alternate RM vendor development process.

b)     Education and work experience:

M.Sc. in Chemistry (Preferably Organic Chemistry) or B.Tech. / B.E. in Chemical Engineering.

Three to Six years of experience in quality control & quality assurance for chemical analysis along with some exposure in production function of a reputed Chemical manufacturing company with knowledge of chemical testing, chemical manufacturing processes, hands on experience of laboratory equipment like HPLC, UV-VIS Spectrophotometer, Brookfield Viscometer, GC, FTIR etc. Knowledge of ISO standard, Chemical & Process Safety, Analytical Skill, Customer complaint handling, use of 7QC tools and exposure to TPM activities are desirable for this position. Experience on customer complaint handling and use of 7QC tools
