Applications are invited on prescribed format for the following assignment in a purely time bound
research project undertaken in the School of Earth, Ocean and Climate Sciences of this Institute.

surface temperature and rainfall over select cities over
India”.
Consolidated Fellowship : RA: Rs. 36,000/‐ + HRA @16% per month
JRF: Rs. 25,000/‐ + HRA @16% per month
1. Research Associate:
Ph.D. in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, Ocean Science, Earth System Science or any other allied fields
related to atmospheric physics or chemistry with domain knowledge in meteorology/atmospheric science.
The candidate must also have published at least one article in a reputed international journal as a lead author.
The candidates with following experience/expertise or inclination will be preferred.
1. Use large datasets using satellites and model simulations.
2. Experience using WRF and/or WRF‐Chem.
3. Inclination to work as part of a larger team with time bound project objectives.
2. Senior Project Associate: M.Sc./M.Tech. In Climate Science and Technology, Earth System Science, Meteorology, Atmospheric Science or
any other allied fields related to atmospheric physics or chemistry with domain knowledge in
meteorology/atmospheric science.
At least 4 years of research experience. The candidate must also have published at least one article in a
reputed international journal as a lead author.
Candidates with following experience/expertise or inclination will be preferred.
1. Use large datasets using satellites and model simulations.
2. Experience using WRF and/or WRF‐Chem.
3. Inclination to work as part of a larger team with time bound project objectives.
3. Junior Research Fellow (Project):
M.Sc. in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, Environmental Science, Ocean Science, Earth System Science or
any other allied fields related to atmospheric physics or chemistry with domain knowledge in
meteorology/ atmospheric science. Only candidates who have completed their degree may apply.
This position is strictly a project position and will not be eligible to be converted to Ph.D.
