Radio Technician recruitment in Director of Lighthouses & Lightships, Jamnagar

Essential: I) Diploma in Electronics or Telecommunication or Electronics and Communication Engineering from a recognized Institution. (II).One year’s practical experience in installation and maintenance of wireless transmitters, receivers, aerial systems and associated power plants in the Central Government or the state Government or a Public Sector Undertaking or any autonomous body.

Desirable : One year’s experience in handling of Radar or microwave Communication equipments in the Central Government or the State Government or a Public Sector Undertaking or any body.

Note: The qualification regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion of the Central Government in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and The Scheduled Tribes, if at any stage of selection the Central Government is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.

Age: Between 18 and 27 years. (Relaxable as per orders issued by the Central Government from time to time). The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be last date for receipt of application i.e.20/09/2019

The Directorate General of Lighthouses and Lightships is a subordinate office under the Ministry of Shipping. It provides General Aids to Marine Navigation along the Indian coast. The Headquarters of the Directorate is at Noida.(U.P.) For administrative control the entire coastline has been divided into Nine Districts having their regional headquarters at Gandhidham, Jamnagar, Mumbai, Goa, Cochin, Chennai, Visakhapatnam , Kolkata and Port Blair.
