Main purpose of the role:

We’re looking for a RTR Accounting Specialist who’ll be responsible for securing an accurate accounting and reconciled balance sheet within corporate deadlines for Signify both for IFRS and Statutory books, coordinating with Infosys to ensure that bookings / accounting is accurately and timely maintained and verifying compliance with accounting standards and regulations (PAP, IFRS, local regulations). As a member of the R2R team of Growth Markets, the role will perform Month End Close and related accounting activities for markets of whole of Asia and Africa and resolve queries of auditors and other stakeholders.

Job holder will be part of RTR domain of Accounting Operations and report to RTR lead of FSC India.

What you’ll do:

• Be a SPOC in R2R for all audits (Statutory/Tax/Internal) in the respective markets.
• Lead project implementation in SAP and other tools for overall efficiency in the R2R domain.
• Be responsible for compliance to new IFRSs, Statutory laws and local accounting guidelines and Accounting Directives.
• Verify and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations (PAP, IFRS, local regulations)
• Ensure accurate preparation of Statutory Financials with a high quality of reporting so that no penalties are invited later.
• Provide accurate, completed & timely data for statutory reporting, fiscal reporting and other requirements
• Coordinate with Infosys to ensure that bookings / accounting is accurately and timely maintained.
• Review that all balances are correctly held and that adequate reconciliations are available with appropriate documentation.
• Maintain control, allocation, recording and physical verification processes for Signify fixed assets and Payroll accounting activities.
• Support the local ORUs and Infosys in providing accurate and timely data for group consolidation & reporting (Month End Close)
• Provide accurate & timely data for fiscal reporting and other requirements.
• Complete Internal Controls work in accordance with the Internal Control Standard (ICS) tool on a timely and accurate basis.
• Interacts with Finance controller, Infosys and where needed finance business partner
• ensure smooth RTR processes and smooth preparation of financial accounts.
• Ensures true and correct reporting (both statutory and internal) and prompt resolution of audit queries
• Play a significant role in Tax audits according to local laws (both Direct and Indirect) as they pertain to company financials

What you’ll need:

• ·      Chartered Accountant with 5-6 years of relevant experience.

Key Skills/Competencies:

• Progressive work experience in statutory and IFRS accounting, completing all components of reporting for local legal entities.
• Experience researching and resolving complex accounting issues.
• Handling External and Internal audit on IFRS/IGAAP, Statutory Laws and Direct/Indirect tax.
• RTR Processes including Trial balance review, consolidation, and correction of financial statements
