Registrar / Assistant Registrar job opportunities in Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS)

Registrar

No. of Post :  1

Eligibility  :  (1) Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of 'B' in the UGC 7 point scale. (2) At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the Academic Level 11 and above or with 8 years of service in the Academic Level 12 and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration. OR Comparable experience in research establishment and/ or other institutions of higher education. OR At least 15 years of administrative experience of which at least 8 years was as a Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post. (Level 12 /13 of pay matrix as per 7th CPC)

Desirable : Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Universities and centrally funded educational/ research institutes and having knowledge of financial management, human resource management, materials management, resource mobilisation and other related matters connected with general administration.

Pay :  Pay Matrix Level -14

Age Limit : Not more than 57 years

Deputy Registrar & Assistant Registrar

No. of Posts : 3 (UR -2 & OBC -1)

Eligibility :  a) Master's Degree with at least 55% of the marks, or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed. b) Nine years of experience as Assistant Professor in the Academic Level 10 and above with experience in educational administration, or c) Comparable experience in research establishment and/ or other institutions of higher education, or d) 5 years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or in equivalent post.

Desirable : Experience in Personnel/ Purchase/ Finance/ Administration/ Academic in a Educational / Research Institute/ Government/ Autonomous body.

Pay :  Pay Matrix Level -12

Age Limit : 50 years with relaxation as per Rules for SC, ST, OBC and PWD

Assistant Registrar

No. of Posts  :  2 (ST-1 & UR -1)

Eligibility :  Master’s degree with 55% , five years experience in educational administration or comparable experience in research establishment and other institution of higher education or 5 years of administrative experience in the pay scale of Rs.6500-200-10500

Desirable : Experience in Personnel/ Purchase/ Finance/ Administration/ Academic in Government/ Educational Institute will be preferred.

Pay :   Pay Matrix Level -10

Age Limit :  50 years with relaxation as per Rules for SC/ST and others

Application Fee : Rs. 1,000/- for General, OBC, EWS category and Rs. 500/- for SC/ ST/ PWD (Divyang)/ candidates. Fee must be submitted through Online Mode only

Selection Process  :  Selection will be made on the basis of candidates’ previous record and their performance in the interview. The Institute may utilize seminar /colloquium/Lecture and/or any other mode as a supplementary method in selection process.
