Job Description

Responsibilities:
Property Registration:
The primary duty is to oversee property registration processes. They review and authenticate property documents, including sale deeds, property transfers, and mortgage agreements, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
Verification of Ownership:
Verify the ownership of the property and check for any encumbrances or legal disputes related to it. They confirm that the property can be legally transferred to the new owner.
Document Authentication:
Validate the authenticity of documents submitted for registration. They check for forged signatures, false information, or any discrepancies in the documents.
Stamp Duty Calculation:
Calculate and collect the appropriate stamp duty and registration fees from property buyers. They ensure that the government receives the requisite revenue from property transactions.
Recording Transactions:
Maintain a comprehensive record of all property transactions in their jurisdiction. This includes updating property ownership records and keeping copies of registered documents.
Dispute Resolution:
In some cases, mediate property-related disputes and work to find amicable solutions. They may also provide legal advice to parties involved in property transactions.
Preventing Fraud:
Vigilant against fraudulent activities such as property fraud, illegal land grabbing, and document forgery. They take measures to prevent such activities and take legal action when necessary.
