Applications are invited on the prescribed form available in the office of undersigned on payment of Rs. 200/- in shape of Bank Draft payable at Ludhiana in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana on any working day from 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM along with attested copies of certificates for one position of Research Assistant on contractual basis @ Rs. 25000/- p.m fixed for M.Sc. and Rs.30000/-P. M. fixed for Ph.D. in the scheme “Facilitating effective functioning at PAU, Misc. 8 (PC-4715)” for a period of six months or till the termination of the scheme whichever is earlier.

1. Post: Research Assistant

2. Salay: Rs. 25000/- p.m fixed for M.Sc. and Rs.30000/-P. M.

3. Educational Qualifications:-

a. B.Sc. Agriculture/B.Sc. Biotechnology (Plant Sciences)/B. Tech. Biotechnology.

b. M.Sc. in Plant Breeding and Genetics.

c. At least second division at Bachelor’s level and 65% marks or OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.00 at Master’s level.

d. Matric level certificate of Punjabi language from Punjab School Education Board or any other recognized Board (as first or second language).

e. The candidate who does not possess Master’s degree in the relevant subject but possess Ph.D. degree in the discipline required at Master’s level shall be eligible for the post.

f. The candidate should give an undertaking that for publications in peer reviewed Journals where the candidate is not the 1st author, the work pertains to M.Sc., Ph.D research or other projects in which candidate was engaged as researcher. If there is any such publication, the candidate should specify his/her contribution to justify his/her claim to get score for that

The Punjab Agricultural University was established in 1962 to serve the state of erstwhile Punjab. On trifurcation of Punjab in November 1966, Haryana Agricultural University was carved out of PAU by an Act of Parliament in February 1970. Later, in July 1970, Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidalya was established.
