Job Description

Applications are invited to engage 01 (one) Research Assistant, purely on contractual basis under the Institute project "Improvement of banana through conventional breeding, at ICAR - NRC for Banana, Tiruchirapalli - 620 102.

1. Name of the Post: Research Assistant

2. Duration of the Project: One year and likely to be extended.

3. Fellowship: Rs.24,000.00 (consolidated) per month

4. Essential Qualification: First class in M.Sc. (Bioinformatics / Biotechnology) with 3 years of related field experience

5. Desirable:

(i) NET, Hands on experience in silico proteomics, Molecular modeling, Systems biology

(ii) At least two papers should be published with more than 7 NAAS score in the related field.

9iii) Minimum three experience in the relevant field

6. Brief nature of Duties:

(i) Updating the breeding information in the breeding tracker

(ii) Statistical analysis of the data

(iii) Documentation of photographs

(iv) Handling of NGS data and updating the Musatrans SSR database

Age Limit:

Minimum age 21 years and Maximum age 45 years for Research Assistant. Age relaxation shall be applicable for the post as per rules.
