Job Description

No. 01/Precision Antimicrobial/2019-20

Research Associate Bioinformatics  job Position in National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases on purely temporary basis

Project entitled “Development of precision antimicrobial therapy through identification of virulence factor targets conferring maximum fitness loss”

Essential:1. PhD in Bioinformatics or PhD in Life Sciences with Bioinformatics/Computational Biology as the thesis topic from a University or Institute recognized by UGC (Provisional PhD degree certificate is Mandatory). 2. Expertise in using R and any one programming languages (Perl or Python).

Desirable: 1. Experience in genomics data analysis using state-of –the art statistical and machine learning techniques (SVM, random forests, and neural networks). 2. Knowledge in evolutionary genomics, protein modeling and simulation. 3. Experience in using bioinformatics tools like PAML, MEGA and CHARMM or GROMACS. 

No.of Post: 01 (UR) 

Pay Scale : Rs. 47,000/- + 24% HRA

Age: Not Exceeding 40 years (2 years relaxable for women candidate) as on 16.03.2020

Road, Scheme XM, Beliaghata, Kolkata 700010, adjacent to the Infectious Diseases Hospital. The unique feature of this Institute is that it conducts basic research and applied clinical and epidemiological research on diarrhoeal diseases under the same roof.
