Research Associate recruitment in IIT Bhubaneswar

Research Associate / 2 Positions 

Name  of  the  temporary research Project : “Impact  of  changing  aerosol  loading  and  urbanization  on 
surface  temperature  and  rainfall  over  select  cities  over India”. 

Name of the Sponsoring Agency : Department of Science and Technology (DST) 

Consolidated Fellowship  : Rs. 36,000/‐ + HRA @16% per month  

Qualification & Experiences  : PhD in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, Ocean Science or any  other  allied  fields  related  to  atmospheric  physics  or chemistry  with  domain  knowledge  in  meteorology/ atmospheric science. Those who have submitted their thesis may also apply.

However eligible candidates must be able to show evidence of completion of all formalities for the award of  PhD  during  the  time  of  interview.  Candidates  with following  experience/  expertise  or  inclination  will  be preferred. 

1. Use  large  database  using  satellites  and  model  simulations 
2. Experience using WRF and/ or WRF Chem 
3. Inclination to work as part of a larger team with time 
bound project objectives
