Job Description

The following post is to be filled up on purely temporary basis under the ad-hoc research project entitled "Development of precision antimicrobial therapy through identification of virulence factor targets conferring maximum fitness loss" funded by ICMR as extramural grant under Dr. Santasabuj Das, Scientist 'F' and P.I. of the project.

1. Name of the Post: Research Associate

2. Stipend: Rs. 47,000/- + HRA

3. Essential:

(i) PhD in Bioinformatics or Life Sciences with extensive use of Bioinformatics/ Computational Biology in the thesis work from a University or Institute recognized by UGC (original or Provisional PhD degree certificate is mandatory).

(ii) Expertise in different programming languages and their applications (R, Perl, Python, PHP, MySQL (Python/R)

4. Desirable:

(i) Postdoctoral experience in Bioinformatics/Computational Biology from reputed institute/university.

(ii) Experience and expertise in high throughput genomic and proteomic data analysis, protein-protein interaction studies using machine learning techniques, molecular docking and thermodynamics.

Age Limit:
Not exceeding 40 years

The unique feature of this Institute is that it conducts basic research and applied clinical and epidemiological research on diarrhoeal diseases under the same roof.
