Job Description

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the post of Research Associate to work on the following project accepted for funding by the Shastri-Indo Canadian Institute, under the supervision of Archana Srivastava and Rishi Kumar (Department of Economics and Finance, BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus) and Prof Dolagobinda Pradhan (Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Canada).

1. Name of the post: Research Associate (Full-time)

2. No. of posts: One (Temporary)

3. Title of the project: “Socio-Economic Impacts of Cyclones and the Coping Strategies of the Local Communities in Odisha, India with a Special Focus on Women”

4. Duration: 05 Months

5. Fellowship amount: Rs. 25,000 per month (Consolidated)

6. Eligibility requirements:

(i) Post graduate in any economics/ social science discipline.

(ii) Strong command over MS Word, MS Excel and Statistical software.

7. Desirable:

(i) Good command over data cleaning, analysis and econometrics, statistical software (STATA, R, Eviews or others),good writing skills

(ii) Candidates with prior experience in secondary research, primary research, data cleaning and data analysis

(iii) Good communication skills

(iv) Proficiency in English, knowledge of Oriya though not mandatory will be an added advantage
