IITB Project Recruitment:

Project title: A systematic large scale assessment for potential of CO2 enhanced oil and natural gas recovery in key sedimentary basins in India

About the project: The project will assess CO2 storage and enhanced fuel recovery potential in key hydrocarbon basins in India and identify potential sites for a demonstration that shall be the foundation for advancing India's CCUS vision in years to come. We will advance from the current state of paper study assessments to one based on laboratory experiments using field samples and numerical simulation based on field and experimental inputs, thus significantly improving understanding of key target sites for enhanced hydrocarbon production and CO2 storage.

Essential Qualifications & Experience: PhD in Geosciences /Civil/ Mechanical with experience in numerical simulation of sub-surface reservoirs.

Job Profile:The job requires carrying out experimental studies and building numerical models of flow of CO2 in sub-surface strata. Compilation of findings and preparing reports is also required.

Consolidated salary Rs.47000/- p.m. + 24% HRA

General information:

The position is temporary for a period of 1 year and tenable only for the duration of the project.The appointment is for time bound project and the candidate is required to work mainly for the successful completion of the project. The selection committee may offer lower or higher designation and lower or higher salary depending upon the experience and performance of the candidate in the interview.
