Job Description

For ICMR Funded Project entitled "Molecular mechanism of stress-induced NLRP3 activation and neuro inflammation by macrophages in prcscncc of amyloid-beta in Alzheimer disease. " (P-5431)

1. Post Name: Research Associate

2. Number of vacancies 1 (UR)

3. Qualification & Experience (Essential): PhD in Biological/ Life Sciences, Experience in cell culture, tissue biopsy/blood handling and processing, protein expression studies, ELISA, estimation of cellular respiration and hands on respirometric analysis.

4. Qualification & Experience (Desirable): Gene knockdown/ over expression analysis, mitochondrial isolation, oxidative stress marker analysis, animal handling, publications in peer reviewed indexed journals.

5. Consolidated remuneration: 47,000/- + HRA per month

6. Tenure of Appointment: One year (extendable) or till completion of the project, whichever is earlier.

7. Brief job description:

Culture and differentiation of monocyte cell THP-I and patient derived monocytes, neuronal culture and coculture, assessment of inflammatory markers in serum, mitochondrial respiration studies in cultured monocytes in Oxygraph/ Metabolic flux analyser, or any other laboratory work assigned by the Pl.
