Essential Qualifications : Postgraduate degree in Siddha from CCIM recognized Institution and Enrolment in the Central / State Register of Indian Medicine /Siddha.

Desirable Qualification and Experience:

a) Knowledge and Experience in Siddha sciences and evidence based studies will be prioritized

b) Previous experience in any research project funded by the Ministry of AYUSH, ICMR, CSIR, DST, or equivalent organization.

c) Publication either as primary or corresponding author in peer- reviewed journals will be preferred

d) Working knowledge of computer applications such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. etc.

e) Skills of drafting, editing of scientific documents / articles / Technical Reports, etc.,

f) Good scientific writing and communication skills

Emoluments Rs.36,000/- + HRA (admissible as per rules) p.m.

Duration: Two years The appointment will be initially for a period of one year, which may be extended at the discretion of the competent authority.

Age Limit: 40 years. Age limit of the candidate will be determined on the closing date for receipt of application. Relaxable in case of SC / ST / OBC / Women / Physically challenged persons as per Govt. of India rules.

The Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRS) is an autonomous body registered under societies act in July 2010 under Dept. of AYUSH, presently Ministry of AYUSH),Government of India, New Delhi. It is an apex body in India for initiating, undertaking, formulating, developing, co-ordinating and promoting research in Siddha on scientific lines. Central Council for Research in Siddha is recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India from 21.08.2014. In September 2010, the Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRS) was formed by bifurcation of the erstwhile Central Council for Research in Ayurveda and Siddha (CCRAS).
