Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Pune (IISER Pune) invites application for the position Research Associate (RA)

Number of posts: 02 (Two)

Name of the Project: “Quantum Information Technologies with ion-trap and opticallattice devices”.

Minimum Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics with a strong background in quantum information and computation. Candidates who have submitted thesis may also apply.

Preference: Candidates having their Ph.D. in quantum information and computation, quantum communication, quantum dynamics, quantum chaos, Bose-Einstein condensates and related areas with good experience in both analytical and non-trivial numerical computations will be preferred.

Tenure of the appointment: Initially for a period of one year extendable for further period subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project.

Consolidated emoluments:

i. Rs. 47,000/- + 24% HRA to Rs. 54,000/- + 24% HRA per month depending upon the experience

ii. Candidates who have submitted their thesis but not completed defence (i.e. candidates without a provisional certificate of having qualified for the degree),will be designated as Senior Research Fellow (SRF) and paid Rs. 35,000/- + 24% HRA per month till the time of submission of Provisional Ph.D. certificate.

Age Limit: RA: Not more than 35 years as on last date of application
