CDFD, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, invites applications from Indian nationals for the following purely temporary vacancies in research projects funded by National / International agencies at CDFD like DST/DBT/ICMR/CSIR etc. The description of the positions and minimum qualifications for various vacancies are as follows:
Research Associate/SRF/Project Associate/JRF
Research Associate
Upper Age Limit: 35 years
Emoluments: ₹ 36,000/- to ₹ 54,000/- per month + HRA
Essential Qualifications: Ph.D. in Biophysics / Chemistry / Life Science / Biotechnology / Genetics / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Bioinformatics from recognized University / Institute or MD / MS / MDS.
OR
M.V.Sc./ M.Pharm./ M.E. / M.Tech. having three years of research, teaching and design and development experience with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
Project-Senior Research Fellow
Upper Age Limit: 35 years
Emoluments: ₹ 28,000/- to ₹ 35,000/- per month + HRA
Essential Qualifications: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course with two years of research experience.
Desirable Qualifications: Qualified National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE.
OR
Qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
Project-Junior Research Fellow
Upper Age Limit: 35 years
Emoluments: ₹ 25,000/- to ₹ 31,000/- per month + HRA
Essential Qualifications :Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course.
Desirable Qualifications:M.Sc. or equivalent course in Biophysics / Chemistry / Life Science / Biotechnology / Genetics / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Bioinformatics.
Experience in research as demonstrated by the successful completion of a research project in a reputed Institute / Centre.
Qualified National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE.
OR
Qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
Project Associate - I
Upper Age Limit: 35 years
Emoluments: ₹ 25,000/- to ₹ 31,000/- per month + HRA
Essential Qualifications: Master's Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / M.V.Sc. or bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable Qualifications:Qualified National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE.
OR Qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
Project Associate - II
Upper Age Limit: 35 years
Consolidated Emoluments: ₹ 28,000/- to ₹ 35,000/- per month + HRA
Essential Qualifications: Master's Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / M.V.Sc. or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent;
and 2 years experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services.
Desirable Qualifications: Qualified National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE. OR
Qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
Senior Project Associate
Upper Age Limit: 40 years
Emoluments: ₹ 42,000/- per month + HRA
Essential Qualifications: Master's Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / M.V.Sc. or bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent;
and Four years experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services. OR Doctoral Degree in Science / Engineering / Technology / Pharma or MD / MS from a recognized University or equivalent.
Principal Project Associate
Upper Age Limit: 40 years
Emoluments: ₹ 49,000/- per month + HRA
Essential Qualifications: Master's Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences or Bacherlor;s Degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent;
and Eight years experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services.
OR Doctoral Degree in Science / Engineering / Technology / Pharma or MD / MS from a recognized University or equivalent;
and Four years experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services.
Project Scientist (Number of positions: 1)
Upper Age Limit: 45 years
Consolidated Emoluments: ₹ 60,000/- per month
Essential Qualifications:PhD in Life Science subjects
Minimum 1 year of Post-PhD experience in Molecular Biology
Desirable Qualifications: Experience in Real Time PCR, Molecular biology and Biosafety level 2 laboratory work.
Nature of Duties:Oversee activities of testing in Covid 19 testing laboratory
Reporting of results to patients as well as health authorities
