Job Description

National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) invites application for the position Research Fellow/ Associate

No. of Positions: 01

Remuneration: Remuneration is at par with the industry standards, depending on experience and skills.

Location of positions: The position will be based in New Delhi but will require travel to cities within the country

Qualifications and Knowledge: 
a) Post Graduation/PhD in Economics/ Development Studies/ Geography/ Urban Development/Statistics or other relevant discipline
b) Degree/Diploma/Training in Remote Sensing and GIS is desirable
c) Knowledge of urban sector
d) Demonstrated proficiency in basic econometrics, mapping and modelling and creative application of GIS in the urban context
e) Knowledge of relevant data analysis software such as ArcGIS, R, SPSS, STATA is desirable.

Experience: 
a) 1-2 years relevant research experience after post-graduation.
b) Knowledge of secondary datasets (Census of India)
c) Research and publications related to utilization of GIS techniques
