Data Analytics and Modelling is the backbone of AEEE’s diverse thematic work and specialises in energy consumption data analytics, cutting across sectors, fuels, and activities to identify energy efficiency opportunities for effective policymaking and on-ground implementation. It focuses on bridging critical data gaps in granular energy use data through primary data collection and transforming raw data into actionable insights. An ideal candidate should have the ability to leverage different types of large-scale data sets (from primary surveys, smart meters, and administrative data from the discoms) to investigate household electricity consumption patterns, consumer behaviour concerning electricity consumption, and willingness to adopt sustainable and energy efficient consumption behaviour. The candidate should have an interest in pursuing a career in energy sector-related policy issues. The candidate should also have proficiency in using statistical software like STATA/R/Python.
