Job Description

The following post is to be filled up on purely temporary basis under the project entitled “Advanced Mycology Diagnostic and Research Center at LHMC” an ICMR project at Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi – 01

Research Officer- one post (Scientist C)

Upper age limit: 45 years 

Salary: Rs 51000/- per month + 30% HRA(corresponding to PB-3 Rs 15600-39100+ grade pay Rs 6600)

Essential Qualification: Candidates should possess 1st Class Master Degree in Microbiology/ Biotechnology from a recognized university with 4 years R&D/teaching experience in the relevant subject. Or 2 NDClass M.Sc + Ph.D degree in Microbiology/ Biotechnology from a recognized university with 4 years R&D/teaching experience in the relevant subject after M.Sc + Ph.D Or BE/Btech degree in biotechnology or equivalent degree from a recognised university with six years R&D/Teaching experience in the relevant subject after B.Tech degree

Desirable Qualifications:  Candidate with Master Degree in Medical Microbiology will be preferred. Doctorate or M. Tech Degree in Biotechnology form a recognized university for candidates with BE/Betch degree in Biotechnology

Additional post Doctoral research/ training experience in Microbiology in recognized institute(s) 

Knowledge of Computer application or business intelligence tools/data management  Working knowledge of molecular bioinformatics tools like bioedit, BLAST, primer and probe designing, phylogenetic analysis and sequence
