Job Description

Research Position (JRF) in Numerical Analysis

One Junior research fellow (JRF) position is available in the Department of Mathematics,Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, Pilani Campus for working in a SERBsponsored project (tenure 3 years) entitled “Development of uniformly convergent methods for two-parameter singularly perturbed boundary value problems”. 

Essential Qualification: M. Sc./M.A. in Applied Mathematics or a related field with good academic record. Candidate with NET/GATE will be preferred. 

Favourable considerations will be given to applicants who are self-motivated with basic knowledge of numerical analysis, ordinary and partial differential equations and the MATLAB programming.

Emoluments: Rs. 31,000/- per month for first two years and Rs 35,000/- per month for third year (fixed). (Any further changes in the fellowship will be subject to the revision made by DST only)
