About the internship

Selected intern's day to day activities will include:

1. Propose, design, and implement stage motorization with a sub-micron level position accuracy
2. Configure drive system considerations using a combination of stepper motors, linear translator, actuators, and micrometers
3. Program micro-controllers built around Arduino, Raspberry Pi to direct motion and speed

Other requirements

1. Embedded programming using C/C++

2. Familiarity with Arduino, Raspberry Pi development boards

3. Past experience of working on motorization hardware and controllers

4. Familiarity building control system and feedback loop systems

Additional Information

Selected interns will have an opportunity to work on the prototyping of a next-generation biomedical product, and will focus on building a micro-positioning system.
