Job Summary

We are looking for a Ruby on Rails developer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Create dynamic Ruby on Rails and AngularJS web and mobile applications.
• Programming in Ruby with Ruby on Rails, JavaScript (using AngularJS) for the application and writing corresponding test code (RSpec/Cucumber/Spinach)
• Write clean, maintainable and efficient code
• Design robust, scalable and secure features
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
• Follow best practices (test-driven development, continuous integration, SCRUM, refactoring and code standards)
• Drive continuous adoption and integration of relevant new technologies into a design.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

• Must have experience of at least 1.5 years with Ruby on Rails, along with other common libraries such as RSpec and Rescue.
• Good understanding of the syntax of Ruby and its nuances.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Good understanding of server-side templating languages such as Liquid, Slim, etc depending on your technology stack.
• Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors such as Sass, based on project requirements.
• A knack for writing clean, readable Ruby code.
