Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code using Rails framework.
- Developing and maintaining the server-side logic for the central database, testing performance and troubleshooting.
- Work closely with product managers and senior engineers to understand the business and build great solutions.
- Integrating user-facing elements designed by the front-end team with server side logic.
- Implement best practices and constantly learn new ways of keeping codebases up to date.
- Review code from other engineers and give meaningful feedback.
- Learn more ways of writing efficient code and try out your learnings.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience working in agile environment.
- Experience working with ruby on rails.
- Knowledge on microservices architecture and able to design, develop and adopt to it.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Good experience of developing highly interactive applications.
- Ability to scope and review user stories and translate them into actionable items with quick delivery of solution.
- Familiarity with MVC, RESTful, and ORM.
- Analyse, design, develop, as well as implement RESTful services and APIs.
- Good knowledge of relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL etc.
- Working knowledge of SQL.
- Demonstrable knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS and jQuery.
- Identifying and fixing bottlenecks and bugs.
- Experience in testing frameworks like RSpec and unit testing.
- Proficiency with code versioning tools including Git, GitHub and Bitbucket.
- Understanding of web and applications servers.
- Good knowledge of AWS/Azure cloud environments.
- Familiarity with deployment life cycle and CICD tools and ability to host application on servers.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Salary: ₹50,000.00 - ₹125,000.00 per month
