Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code using Rails framework.
• Developing and maintaining the server-side logic for the central database, testing performance and troubleshooting.
• Work closely with product managers and senior engineers to understand the business and build great solutions.
• Integrating user-facing elements designed by the front-end team with server side logic.
• Implement best practices and constantly learn new ways of keeping codebases up to date.
• Review code from other engineers and give meaningful feedback.
• Learn more ways of writing efficient code and try out your learnings.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience working in agile environment.
• Experience working with ruby on rails.
• Knowledge on microservices architecture and able to design, develop and adopt to it.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Good experience of developing highly interactive applications.
• Ability to scope and review user stories and translate them into actionable items with quick delivery of solution.
• Familiarity with MVC, RESTful, and ORM.
• Analyse, design, develop, as well as implement RESTful services and APIs.
• Good knowledge of relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL etc.
• Working knowledge of SQL.
• Demonstrable knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS and jQuery.
• Identifying and fixing bottlenecks and bugs.
• Experience in testing frameworks like RSpec and unit testing.
• Proficiency with code versioning tools including Git, GitHub and Bitbucket.
• Understanding of web and applications servers.
• Good knowledge of AWS/Azure cloud environments.
• Familiarity with deployment life cycle and CICD tools and ability to host application on servers.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Salary: ₹50,000.00 - ₹125,000.00 per month
