Metso construction jobs - Safety Officer-Safety Incharge

Safety Officers are responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing the company's employee safety at work. 

Their main duty is to ensure that the company is in compliance and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines construction safety officer is responsible for making sure all the workers at a construction site are working safely and following all the correct safety procedures. 

They may have other duties as well, but the primary duty of construction officers is to keep things safe around the job site Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Observation skills (attention to detail) Tactfulness. Sense of responsibility. 

Physical ability to do the work.

Support EHS operations and staff to foster zero-tolerance culture and ensure compliance. Train and orient new hire employees and develop EHS and training programmed (safety Awareness, Chemical Handling, project area safety) daily, weekly, monthly for workers and staffs. ) Guide and recommend EHS activities and manage EHS data for periodic EHS regulatory documents. 

Develop and implement safety programs. 

Good knowledge of documentation, Testing & maintenance( training record, Accident, maintenance, PPEs ,fire extinguishers,pump & Hydrants,Detectors etc.) Monitoring, illumination level, Noise level, oxygen level & Temperature level. 

Conduct regular plant safety inspection/audit and secure reporting mechanism for audit items compliance. participation Emergency/fire & rescue calls and Mock drill. 

Maintenance of hose pipe, hose reel, nozzle, branches, fire pump, jokey pump extinguisher, FIRE TENDER, basic knowledge in first aid.

Qualification: Any Graduates

Criteria          : NEBOSH / IOSH
