Role Summary

Reporting to Plant Manager, this position is responsible for driving safety as part of operational excellence within the Bangalore FCO plant aspiring for a world class safety culture. This will entail ensuring compliance with all established local HSE regulations as well as Flowserve HSE policies to ensure the safety of our employees.

Responsibilities & Requirements: Responsible for the following programs, activities, and reporting:

• Prepare plant HSE metrics for use at multiple levels of the organization.
• Ensure Global Safety Actions and other initiatives are being fully implemented and maintained at the plant.
• Monitor completion data to assure our work force is current with all required safety trainings and HSE targets for Flowserve.
• Evaluate operational practices to determine workplace hazards and implement globally scalable elimination and control methods.
• Conduct internal audits to observe and ensure compliance with all required safe work requirements (local statutory and Flowserve).
• Enhance safety and organization reputation from a compliance assurance standpoint 

Qualifications

This position requires the following:

• Practical working experience in factory set up for more 10 years in HSE
• Diploma in Industrial Safety - recognized by state or central government
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred
• Proven experience in driving change within an organization
• Practical Exposure to ISO 14001 and 18001 and ISO 45001 migration
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Sound statutory knowledge and up to date with relevant regulations
• Positive attitude, self-motivated and must aggressively and diplomatically pursue and gain the cooperation of all stakeholders (internal and external) and associates to support safety and health initiatives being pursued
