Responsibilities
Customer Assistance: Sales Assistant interact directly with customers, both in person and over the phone. They provide information about products or services, answer customer inquiries, address concerns, and assist with purchases or orders.
Order Processing: They receive and process customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment. Sales Assistant may handle paperwork, enter orders into the system, coordinate with other departments, and track order status to ensure smooth delivery.
Sales Support: They provide administrative support to the sales team, including preparing sales documents, proposals, or presentations. Sales Assistant may assist with sales forecasting, data analysis, and reporting on sales activities or customer interactions.
Inventory Management: They assist with inventory control by monitoring stock levels, tracking inventory movement, and coordinating with the warehouse or procurement team to ensure product availability.
Sales Promotion and Marketing Support: Sales Assistant may assist in organizing sales events, trade shows, or marketing campaigns. They help with promotional activities, such as preparing promotional materials, setting up displays, or updating product information.
CRM Maintenance: Sales Assistant may be responsible for maintaining customer relationship management (CRM) systems, updating customer records, and ensuring data accuracy.
Sales Team Coordination: They collaborate with the sales team and other departments to coordinate activities, share information, and support the overall sales process. This may include scheduling appointments, coordinating sales meetings, or managing calendars.
Follow-up and After-sales Service: Sales Assistant may follow up with customers after sales to ensure customer satisfaction, address any issues or concerns, and provide post-sales support or assistance.
