Responsibilities
Responsibility to staff and direct the section team :
– responsibility for the day to day activities of your team
– meet your targets and those of the team as a whole
– assist in the smooth running of the of the section and its team
– contribute to training and development of the team
– achieve maximum profitability and growth in accordance with organisation plans
Day to day responsibilities as agreed with your Line Manager to include:
– assist Line Manager to recruitment of team members, subject to agreed criteria
– assist Line Manager to train and appraise individual team members to ensure targets are met
– performance and development of team members
– reporting (content and format as agreed) on a monthly basis to Line Manager
– assist Line Manager in developing plans for team sales activities to include sales strategy to achieve agreed targets, effective search of leads/prospects, penetrate new markets
– prepare and agree individual action plans and targets for all team members
– assist in the development and preparation of the organisation’s sales strategy and general business planning
– prepare and agree presentations, proposals and price lists to enable the team to deliver accurate and competitive information whilst maintaining maximum profit margin and assist team members to prepare and deliver client/customer presentations, proposals and price lists
– delegate authority and responsibility to team with supervision, accountability and review
– assist Line Manager to maintain contact with client/customers for feedback and to obtain client/customer satisfaction
– set an example for team members of commitment, sales activities, work ethics and habits and personal character
– maintain accurate records of leads/prospect, pricing, sales and activities
– control expenses to meet agreed budgetary controls
– adhere to all organisation policies and procedures
– interact and co-operate with the all members of the organisation and its suppliers and clients/customers
