Job Description

National Institute of Medical Statistics (NIMS) invites application for the position Scientist-B

Project: “National Data Quality Forum (NDQF)”

Number of Post: One

Consolidated Salary: Rs.48,000/- per month plus H.R.A as per ICMR rules

Duration: Upto 30/9/2022

Essential Qualification and Experience: 
A) First class master degree in Statistics/Biostatistics/Health Statistics/Public Health/Demography/Population Studies/Anthropology from a recognized university with 2 years experience in the related field. OR
B) Second class master degree with Ph.D. in Statistics/Biostatistics/Health Statistics/Public Health/Demography/Population Studies/Anthropologyfrom a recognized university with 1 year experience in the related field. Preference will be given to those having experience in using softwares e.g., STATA, SPSS, R, Python, SQL, etc. to analyse data/data querying and draw insights from large data sets etc.

Job Description: The incumbent will be responsible for doing literature review, collate information on data quality framework, contribute in the development of standards for quality assurance in surveys and administrative data; writing reports and papers for peer reviewed journals; participate in meetings; assist PI/project coordinators etc.

Age Limit: Below 35 years as on 4-12-2021
