Name of the Project : Study on the prevalence of oral premalignant and malignant lesions and the associated viral etiological agents among the tribal population of Car Nicobar Island

Scientist-B (Non-Medical)

No. of Post  :  01 (GEN)

Qualification  :  First Class Master’s Degree in Cancer Biology/Virology from a recognized University with 02 years’ experience preferably in same subjects OR Second Class Master’s Degree with Ph.D. in Cancer Biology/Virology from a recognized University OR BDS with 01-year experience

Desirable :  MDS in Oral Pathology/MDS in Public Health Dentistry. 02 years of work experience in area related to oral health

Salary : Rs. 48,000/- + 10% HRA= Rs. 50,100/- (Consolidated)

Age Limit : 35 Years

Project Technician-II

No. of Posts  : 02 (01-GEN & 01-ST)

Qualification  :  High school* or equivalent with five years’ experience in laboratory Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Pathology)/Field work from a Government institution. OR Certificate course of one year MLT/Nursing Midwifery.  Intermediate with science subjects and B.Sc. shall be treated as equivalent to 2 and 3 years’ experience, respectively

Desirable : Experience in carrying out field survey. Knowledge of Computer Applications

Salary : Rs. 17,000/- per month (consolidated)

Age Limit : 28 Years

Candidates, fulfill the requisite qualifications may appear for the walk-in interview/written test. The candidate should bring duly filled in prescribed APPLICATION FORM available in the website of ICMR-REGIONAL MEDICAL RESEARCH CENTRE, Dollygunj, Port Blair together with self-attested copies of all the certificates relating to educational qualification, date of birth, working experiences etc., on the day of walk-in interview/written test. Candidates are also required to bring their original certificates for verification. The registration process will start at 10:00 am. The exact time of interview/ written test will be intimated to the candidates on 25/07/2019, after completion of the registration process.

Regional Medical Research Centre, Port Blair is one of the six Regional Centres of Indian Council of Medical Research. The Centre was incepted in 1983 with the objectives of carrying out biomedical research on communicable and non-communicable diseases prevalent in Andaman and Nicobar Islands with a special emphasis on the health problems of the indigenous tribes and to develop technical manpower locally. However, during the past two five-year plans, the Centre recognized its identity and made rapid strides towards achieving its set objectives.
