This recruitment is to fill up the vacancy under the project entitled "Epidemic preparedness through rapid vaccine development: support of Indian vaccine development aligned with the global initiative of the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI)"

1. Post Name: Scientist D (Bioassay Lab)

3. Salary: Up to Rs. 1,25,000/-

4. Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

i. PhD in Life Sciences/ Veterinary Science/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology or relevant branch from a recognized University with 3 years of relevant post- qualification research experience after Ph.D in a GLP facility providing services for biologicals and vaccine development. Expertise in animal virology, animal models and cell culture, molecular and serological assays for vaccine development is essential. In-depth knowledge of GLP and regulatory requirements for vaccine assays is necessary.

ii. M.Sc with 10 years of post-qualification relevant experience out of which at least three years should be as a team lead in a GLP or NABL-accredited facility providing assay services for vaccines and biologicals as mentioned above. In-depth knowledge of GLP and regulatory requirements for vaccine assays is necessary.

5. Job Responsibilities:

i. to lead a team consisting of junior scientists and technical staff in the bioassay laboratory

ii. to establish assays relevant for vaccine development and infectious disease research

iii. to validate methods as per the criteria for obtaining NABL accreditation for methods.

iv. to provide assay services to clients and collaborators as per regulatory standards.

v. The incumbent should be familiar with cGLP and accreditation processes.
