Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Performing keyword analysis and conducting research on competitive keywords
2. Developing lists of potential keywords/phrases by understanding the marketplace using keyword research tools
3. Monitoring and evaluating search results and search performance across the major search channels
4. Monitoring and optimizing meta tags, meta descriptions, meta titles, alt tags, and re-updating page-wise SEO on a regular basis
5. Implementing URL optimization and URL mapping
6. Creating and submitting sitemap HTML and XML through Google Webmaster tools
7. Analyzing website traffic flow through Google Analytics weekly or monthly
8. Fixing broken links and 404 errors, duplicating content, pages, and crawler errors and redirects
9. Conducting competitive market research and planning on improvements/opportunities needed for increasing their online visibility
10. Managing directories and listings with relevant SEO keywords
11. Improving organic search results for desktop and mobile sites on all major search engines
12. Reviewing SEO site elements such as Google Analytics, Webmaster tools, sitemaps, etc., and performing on-page SEO site optimization including metadata, tags, content body, header, title, etc.
13. Recommending changes to website architecture, content, linking, and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords

3
