Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Researching and selecting highly targeted and effective keywords
2. Optimizing the structure of a site and of each page for maximum ranking potential against target keywords
3. Building the most effective, high-quality links possible from relevant external sites and web properties
4. Creating engaging content maximized to enable easy sharing and SEO optimized for mainstream search and channel search (e.g, video, images, blogs, etc.)
5. Optimizing website and web content for different online channels such as video rankings, image rankings, blog rankings, social rankings, mobile rankings, product (shopping) rankings
6. Optimizing the website for local search rankings and business listings
7. Tracking mentions of the company, brand, product, etc. on web results and social channels; identifying risks and threats and responding appropriately
8. Creating conversations and participating in community discussion to help build the authority of your company, brands, presence and create worthy links where appropriate
9. Tracking the performance of keywords, rankings, traffic referral sources, etc.
10. Finding out what works and building on it
11. Identifying any changes in traffic rankings and investigating the reasons for the same
