Secretary-cum-Scientific Director  job recruitment in Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission

Qualification :-

Non-Medical - Essential:- i) Post Graduate degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences/ Bio-Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Chemistry/ Pharmacology/ Microbiology from a recognized University, with Ph. D in any of the related fields.

Medical :  Post Graduate degree in Medical/Biological Science with specialty in Microbiology/ Pharmacology.

Desirable :  Ph. D in any of the related fields.

Experience :  (1) 15 years experience including 5 year at senior level in the area of pharmaceuticals. (2) Research experience in the relevant field with support of paper(s) published.

Scale of Pay :  Pay Matrix Level 14 (Rs.1,44,200-2,18,200)

Age Limit :  Preferably below 50 years

Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) is an Autonomous Institution of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. IPC is created to set standards of drugs in the country. Its basic function is to update regularly the standards of drugs commonly required for treatment of diseases prevailing in this region. It publishes official documents for improving Quality of Medicines by way of adding new and updating existing monographs in the form of Indian Pharmacopoeia (IP). It further promotes rational use of generic medicines by publishing National Formulary of India.
